Confidence Exercises: How To Be More Confident
Just like any workout routine, the more you exercise, the stronger you become. The same thing applies for boosting your confidence: the more you work at it, the better and stronger it will become. So here are some tips help keep you motivated to do confidence exercises.
1. Make It Fun
As long as you are having fun, it doesn't feel like work and you are more likely to keep doing it.
2. Do It Regularly
Again, just like exercise, you can't just do it occassionally and expect to see major changes. The more you do it, the quicker you will see results.
3. Acknowledge Your Progess
Unlike working out, you can't just look in the mirror and see how much your confidence has improved however you may begin to notice you are comparing yourself less, doing less negative self-talk, saying your affirmations, accepting your relection in the mirror, feeling less unsure when around certain peers, etc. Whatever that looks like for you, acknowledge the progress and keep going!
4. Keep It Fresh
If you find that older exercises are no longer effective, switch it up and try something new.
5. Do Regular Check-Ins
Once you start feeling great, it's common to stop doing all the great things that helped you feel better. Set a reminder (weekly or monthly) to check-in with yourself to make sure you are still feeling great. If not, this would be your reminder to start doing more exercises until you are back to where you want to be.
